Laura Klein - President, Robb Klein - Vice President
In the late 80's we found each other and we have been together ever since that day. Throughout our years together like most couples we have faced our own set of challenges, always finding ways to overcome obstacles and staying united through our mutual love, admiration and respect for each other. We have been blessed to have three children, Connie, Robbie and Jarrod. In 2008 Jarrod was involved a dirt bike accident and suffered a traumatic brain injury in his senior year of high school, after his rehab & recovery his "friends" slowly disappeared, a deep depression set in and he was never quite right after that, then a drug addiction ensued. We fought tirelessly to save him from himse4lf and this crazy world. Our lives were really turned even more upside down when a simple knock on the door would forever change our world, we lost Jarrod in 2017 to a senseless, meaningless and preventable tragedy, as he was viciously murdered by his "friend". Kids, dont do drugs!
An out-of-natural order death such as the loss of a child breaks a person (especially a parent) in a way that is not fixable or solvable ever! As time goes by we will learn to pick up the pieces and move forward, experiencing the phantom pains of missing a part of us, living with the knowledge that our lives will never be the same. Every grieving parent must find a way to continue to live with their loss, and it's a souljourn type of journey, thankfully by the grace of God we have our faith, each other and our dear family and friends that have helped us find our way.
We formed Just Love and Kindness in loving memory of Jarrod as part of being the change we want to see in our community. We give all thanks to a loving God who knows best, as we walk forward in faith that God has a plan for all of our lives, through His precious son Jesus Christ we will follow His plan. Were grateful that our son was saved, and is with our loved ones awaiting our reunion.

Social media and website monitoring. After the loss of our brother we decided to make sure his life & death were not in vain, to be a source of good within our community.
Robbie Klein - Secretary
I have made the Arklatex my home after relocating to Texarkana in 2001, I quickly met and married my wife Carrie and we have three children, and several furbabies. After the tragic loss of our brother, our family made the decision to make something good through our loss. Our purpose and mission through Just Love and Kindness is to reach people in need. Through the Gospel of Jesus Christ we can help to advance the Kingdom of God. Showing people the power to break addiction and know they are completely whole and lacking nothing in Jesus Christ.
Lisa Lee - Board member
I am a mother, grandmother, and quite honestly family is a big priority in my life. I have been a resident of Texarkana for over 20 years relocating from New Mexico. The Klein family has been a big part our lives throughout the years, and we have become more family than friends. Being part of Just Love and Kindness is a way to give back to our community after the loss of our Jarrod.
Professionally I am a service manager at a local dealership and have been involved in the automotive industry for over 20 years. I am so grateful to the Lord for turning my life around and giving me the strength and compassion to be able to help others turn their lives around. Focusing our efforts towards the youth of Texarkana is a great place to start. I believe it does take a village to raise our youth, not just one family or group, the way we were raised many years ago.
Kim Polk - Board member
My name is Kim Polk. I I have been in property management for 30 years.
I am the mother of 3 adult children (one of which we lost when he was 26 years old), and 5 beautiful grandchildren- all of which I love and am very proud of.
I am a Christian and God has blessed me in so many ways. I believe in divine intervention and know that's why my path crossed with the Klein's when it did. I was lucky enough to have developed a very close relationship with Robb, Laura and Jarrod before Jarrod passed away. I understand the pain of losing a child. There is no greater loss.
I loved Jarrod and am honored that Robb and Laura have included me as a part of his memorial organization. I believe there are "Angels Among Us"!
